This is a great game to play on a flight! It is incredibly addicting! It doesn’t require any data at all! The only thing is the price tag! I mean you have to pay for greatness right? More

I was so happy when I stumbled across this app. I put my phone in airplane mode to relax sometimes but that means that my data cannot be used, so no internet. The best part about this app is that it can be used in airplane mode. It is also challenging and fun! More

Using Netflix to watch movies and TV shows offline is a great option to have but it is rather limited right now. First, it is available for certain operating systems only (the most popular ones but not for every single one of them). Second, far not every movie/TV show (they call it a 'title') on Netflix is available for downloading. Finally, downloads expire and having several movies already downloaded limits your ability to download more. You'll have to delete your previously downloaded titles. Overall, useful feature, however, check in advance what can be downloaded and what can not. More

You can’t use it unless you download a movie, which takes FOREVER!’ And takes up so much storage on your phone! So no you can’t really use this on a flight! More

This is not a good solution. This app has nothing to do with airplanes as it's just a snowboarding game. This solution doesn't give me anything I want here, not good. More

The Battle of Polytopia is a good turn-based strategy app with generated maps using really pretty, cartoon-style graphics. It's like a very lightweight version of Civ that you can play on the go. It's simple and easy to learn, but it would be nice to have more options for tribes and maps. More

The Battle of Polytopia got me through some flights. I have issues with flight, so this application was very good for helping me keep on track.

I don't find this to be a very appropriate as an airplane mode app. It is a game, so it cannot help me with applying airplane mode on my phone.
by Fabiola Medina
It basically took the beginning of the intro of the game and pasted it here. I would like to know how bad the transactions are in the game. Also if it works on all tablets and phones. More

Pocket is a really good app if you tend to watch things later during your free time but don't want to lose it. It is really beneficial in terms of compatibility because most of the apps do not support most of the formats and transferring it to other accounts and devices. But it still has minor glitches and the app crashes at times. I would purchase the pro version when this app creates some newer idea like even downloading that content in no matter what format. More

Interesting game in which you play through mystery. You visit some ancient underwater world names "Arcadia" and find a sea monster. The concept of the game is fantasy, so for a fantasy or fictional story lover, this delivers the cake. More

This game is awesome! Review the controls before you start out and get use to it first tho. Is playing mini RPGs your thing? Fake isn't what this game is about its totally immersive and I love it. More

I can see an app like Instapaper being highly useful for people who are on-the-go and want to stay connected to online content. The fact that web based content can be read offline would definitely be a boon to someone like me that's very reliant on the internet for staying connected with the world, for staying informed, and for entertainment. I think that the same holds true for many other people, and this app seems to be an ideal solution for people who are traveling. More

Many times I tried to save RSS feeds and other pages from the websites to read later and was not very successful in getting it done, but that changed with ReadKit. I now use it to save all my read later RSS feeds and other documents that I want to have them all saved in one place. I use it on my Apple MacBook and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to organize their read later feeds. More
by Jack Green
ReadKit isn't necessarily a stand alone airplane mode pp but it can be used in all modes. It's an excellent RSS and article reader and can be used in airplane mode once your articles are downloaded. There really aren't a lot of RSS readers around for iOS but ReadKit is right in the app store. More
