It used to be that we would need to manually and physically do all of our accounting using accounting sheets as well as oversized calculators. Now, we can keep track of all our expenses using apps on our phones. Here are some checkbook apps worth checking out.

Goodbudget, formerly known as the Easy Envelope Budget Aid (EBBA) is a personal finance app for budget planning and money management, ideal for sharing a budget with your friends, spouse or family member.
by Anthony Carroll
GoodBudget is not one of the best apps on the market currently, there are many better ones that provide more features with less headache. I would avoid this app and go for something more established like Mint or Venmo. More

Been using Goodbudget for years already as my check register app. I'll admit that i tried to use other apps but i keep coming back to this one because nothing compares to this. For me, most of the other apps are hard to get used to but with this i easily got the hang of it. More

I think the best part of this app is you can share your budget with other people. My husband and I don't have a shared bank account, but we regularly pay for things for each other and take turns paying the bills. This way we can keep track of each other's spending. More

With this check register app I get to save more because I understood my finances more
by Lisa Mason
I've been looking for an app that will help me track my spending--anything to save paper, right! Spendee does that and also helps me to plan my budget. Though the app requires a fee, in the end I think this helps me to save money. Until I find an app with these benefits and no fee, I'll keep my electronic check register with Spendee. More

For checkbook register apps, Moneydance is an OK, though crowded, solution. It can track investments and generate graphs, similar to Microsoft Excel. The interface looks a bit clunky though, it might not be a fit for me. More

I have been relying on this app as my online checkbook. Because of that I have completely replaced my putting entries on my checkbook but on this app instead. But I would have given this five stars if only it is also available on Android devices. My husband has an Android so he cant have this on his phone. More

Mint helps me monitor and track my bills, very helpful app! Not just that i can also track my balances and transactions here.
by Joseph Montgomery
Mint is a good quality money manager and financial tracker but it does have its flaws. Sometimes sync with accounts goes awry and requires user intervention and the overall interface is rather simplistic for some users. But if you want something without bells and whistles, this may be just what you're looking for. More

I’ve been using this app for several years now. I track many accounts within the app. It works well and is a simple interface. I had a problem with one account on the app and had to abandon it, since I was not comfortable sharing my private financial data with the developer. The only problem is that I want to sync data between my phone, my iPad, and my husband’s phone, but sync has not been available for quite sometime now - and the developer wants $4.99 per month to sync data. Time to get a new app? More

Accounts 2 Checkbook is overpriced relative too the value it delivers. Frankly, there are free apps that do everything this one does. Worst of all, the updates tend to break things that previously worked.

Looks like a great solution, The solution leads to exactly what the topic creator is looking for, Although again it is hard to tell if the topic creator is looking for an android app or an app store one. The app in question seems to hold good reviews and works as intended, I say this topic is solved. More
