      DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that The Mongol Empire was the largest contiguous empire in history? It has covered 9.15 million square miles of land, which is more than 16 percent of the earth's land mass. Between the years 1270 and 1209, the empire had 110 million people which is more than one-fourth of the world's population. The Mongols were known for their brutal and forceful ways of conquering different territories spanning from Asia until Europe. The emergence of the Mongol Empire started from the unification of Mongol and Turkish tribes under Genghis Khan. During such time, the Mongols achieved advancements in various technologies and ideologies. In 1331, the Black Death began its rampage in Mongolia and started the empire’s slow decline.

Like what the Mongols have accomplished, one can play empire-building games. It is a sub-genre of strategy games where players can attempt to amass power, wealth, increase land holdings, and destroy enemies. In gaming, these games are usually called civilization-building games. In such games, the player acts as the planner and leader of a nation with the main goal of developing it into a global superpower. For this reason, these kingdom building games are seen as one of the best genres of strategy gaming.
